Reports indicate that these children are subjected to reeducation and militarization while in Russian custody .
Since the start of the Russian invasion, approximately 20,500 children have been unlawfully deported or forcibly transferred to Russia or Russian-held territories in Ukraine . The EU and UK sanctions aim to hold accountable those responsible for these actions .
