Monday, May 18Monday, May 18A team of Finnish divers has arrived in the Maldives to search for the bodies of four missing Italian researchers: Monica Montefalcone, Giorgia Sommacal, Muriel Oddenino, and Federico Gualtieri. The researchers are believed to be located in the third cavity of the Vaavu cave system at a depth of 60 meters. The divers are scheduled to begin their search on Monday morning .
The remaining 20 guests from the *Duke of York* vessel, where the researchers were staying, have returned to Italy. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has expressed condolences to the Maldivian government for the death of Mahdi, a local involved in the rescue efforts .
