AC Milan sign Gonçalo Ramos in club-record deal from Paris Saint-Germain
AC Milan have finalised the €50 million-plus acquisition of Gonçalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain, the club’s most expensive signing in history, as Ruben Amorim’s first major coup at the Rossoneri takes shape. The 24-year-old Portuguese striker, who has scored 18 goals in 42 appearances for PSG this season, will join Milan on a five-year contract after the two clubs agreed a fee exceeding €50 million plus performance-related bonuses. The deal was confirmed by multiple outlets on Friday, 26 June 2026, including Il Fatto Quotidiano and La Repubblica, which reported the total could reach €70 million.
The move marks a bold statement of intent from Milan’s new sporting director, who has moved swiftly to rebuild the squad following a disappointing campaign. Ramos, capped 28 times by Portugal, replaces Olivier Giroud as the club’s primary striking option and becomes the most expensive player ever signed by Milan, surpassing the €60 million spent on Romelu Lukaku in 2019. His arrival coincides with reports that the club is also closing in on a deal for Atalanta winger Rafael Leão, though no agreement has been finalised.
Meanwhile, in Greece, Panathinaikos have moved closer to completing the signing of Senegalese guard Ibrahima Badio from Valencia. The Greek champions agreed to pay a €1.5 million buy-out clause on Friday, with the player set to sign a three-year contract worth €5 million in total. Club president Dimitris Giannakopoulos announced the deal in a video message filmed at Cape Sounion, hailing Badio as “the second signing of the Obradović era.” The Senegalese international, who made 31 appearances for Valencia last season, will provide depth at point guard as Panathinaikos aim to challenge Olympiacos for the Super League title.
