French President Emmanuel Macron is expected to visit the site on Thursday morning to assess the situation and support the ongoing efforts to control the fire. Authorities have deployed hundreds of firefighters to battle the blazes, with additional resources being brought in from other countries to assist in the efforts.
The investigation into the cause of the Fontainebleau fire is ongoing, with authorities focusing on the possibility of arson. The suspect's initial confession and subsequent retraction have complicated the investigation, but prosecutors are determined to uncover the truth.
