El encierro ha sido muy peligroso y multitudinario, por ser el primero en fin de semana. Según el parte médico facilitado desde en HUN, a este centro hospitalario se va a trasladar a seis corredores por una herida penetrante por asta de toro en la cara, una contusión craneal, una contusión torácica y craneal, otra contusión torácica, otra contusión craneal y un traumatismo en hombro. Antes de llegar a la curva de Mercaderes, donde han caído varios corredores, un mozo ha sido arrollado por el astado que se había adelantado, y justo después de la curva otro corredor ha quedado atrapado entre un toro y un cabestro. Ya en Estafeta, donde también se han podido ver varias caídas de los corredores, la manada ha continuado la carrera estirada, pero sin romperse, y de nuevo encabezada por los cabestros. Hacia mitad de la calle, el grupo se ha ido alargando más, hasta romperse en dos grupos. En el tramo del callejón, se ha formado un pequeño montón de corredores caídos. Finalmente, los astados han accedido a los chiqueros de la plaza sin incidencias.
