Tallinn International Horse Show opens with 150 athletes and 220 horses from nine countries

The 23rd Tallinn International Horse Show began on Friday at Unibet Arena, featuring 150 athletes and over 220 horses from nine countries: Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Brazil, Portugal, Sweden, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine. Over three days, the competition will include nearly 600 starts, with tickets for Saturday and Sunday already sold out.
Friday’s program highlighted Ladies’ Night, merging fashion and equestrian sports with a fashion show by Riina Laanetu, followed by a performance from Italian equestrian artist Diego Giona. The evening also showcased top dressage riders and the Young Stars Dressage event.
Saturday’s schedule includes a performance by ALIKA at 6:15 p.m., the 145 cm open class competition at 7:15 p.m., and the Six Bar competition at 9 p.m., where horse and rider pairs must clear six fences of increasing height. Sunday’s events feature a small pony show at 2:45 p.m., another performance by Giona at 3 p.m., and the 150 cm Grand Prix at 5 p.m., a leg of the FEI Jumping World Cup presented for Alexela prizes. A closing ceremony will follow the Grand Prix.
The event is supported by over 40 partners and sponsors, with a total prize fund of approximately €112,000. The Tallinn International Horse Show 2026–2028 project is co-financed by the European Union .
