In a column published Sunday, writer Ihsan Aktaş described a shifting regional dynamic, stating, “History is being rewritten in our region. A new era is beginning in our region, from Syria to Gaza, from Iraq to Lebanon. As Türkiye, we are not outside this historic transformation—we are at its very center.” Aktaş added that the future of the region must be determined by the will of its peoples, not imperialist calculations .
