The funds will target advanced digital infrastructure, including new high-capacity data centers with a combined capacity of approximately 1 gigawatt, as well as energy projects in liquefied natural gas, renewables, and hydrogen. UAE Industry Minister Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber said the investments would “promote those industrial sectors, technologies and skilled jobs that drive future growth and competitiveness.”
During the visit, 29 commercial agreements and letters of intent worth nearly €9.4 billion were signed between German and Emirati companies. Both governments also agreed to establish a joint investment council to foster further economic ties. The UAE and Germany further pledged to deepen cooperation in artificial intelligence, defense, and trade, according to a joint statement .
The UAE’s state-owned firms, including ADNOC and Masdar, are expected to partner with German companies such as Covestro and RWE on energy and technology initiatives .
