Poland’s national meteorological service, IMGW, issued severe weather warnings on Sunday as a powerful front swept across the country, bringing storms, heavy rain, and strong winds. The alerts cover multiple regions, including Pomorskie, Zachodniopomorskie, and parts of Lubuskie, Wielkopolskie, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, and Warmińsko-Mazurskie, where thunderstorms with rainfall of 10 to 20 mm and hail are expected through Sunday evening .
Additional warnings for strong winds were issued for northern coastal areas of Pomorskie and Zachodniopomorskie, with gusts reaching up to 80 km/h. These alerts remain active until 12:00 on Monday .
IMGW also warned of rising water levels along the coast, with hydrological alerts indicating possible breaches of warning thresholds and, in some areas, alarm levels. These hydrological warnings are in effect until Tuesday noon .
The southern and southeastern regions are expected to experience milder conditions, with temperatures reaching up to 25°C and lighter cloud cover .
