Spider-Man: Brand New Day has climbed to sixth place on the global box office chart, earning $2.22 billion worldwide since its July 31 release, according to U.S. industry reports cited by Austrian and German outlets . The film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker and Zendaya as his girlfriend, surpassed *Star Wars: The Force Awakens*, which has grossed $2.07 billion since 2015 and now ranks seventh.

The Marvel blockbuster remains just behind *Titanic* (1997), which holds fifth place with $2.26 billion in global earnings. James Cameron’s *Avatar* (2009) retains the top spot with $2.92 billion, followed by *Avengers: Endgame* (2019) at $2.79 billion, *Avatar: The Way of Water* (2022) at $2.33 billion, and the Chinese animated film *Ne Zha 2* (2025) at $2.27 billion.

In North America, *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* topped the box office for the fourth consecutive weekend, grossing $39 million—down 45% from the previous weekend—according to Exhibitor Relations . Domestically, the film has earned $854.9 million, with an additional $1.37 billion internationally. It now approaches the North American record of $936 million held by *Star Wars: The Force Awakens* since 2015.

Sony Pictures’ *Insidious: Out of the Further* debuted in second place with $25.3 million, while Christopher Nolan’s *The Odyssey* fell to third, earning $19.5 million in its sixth weekend for a domestic total of $539.1 million. *Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie* and *The End of Oak Street* rounded out the top five with $9.1 million and $9 million, respectively.
