Lithuania unveils 31.5M automated façade hub to boost exports and cut carbon
Staticus Group will invest €31.5 million to build an automated aluminium and glass façade manufacturing hub in Vilnius, Lithuania, the company announced on Thursday. The project, named “Campus Staticus,” includes a production complex with an integrated testing laboratory and will create at least 24 highly qualified jobs.
Lithuania’s Ministry of the Economy and Innovation has granted the project large-scale investment status. Minister Edvinas Grikšas said the initiative aligns with the country’s push toward automation, digitalization, and sustainability, adding that it will bring in-house manufacturing of products previously sourced from subcontractors and strengthen export potential .
The new facility will produce aluminium and glass structures, including windows, doors, and sliding systems, as well as a new hybrid unitised timber-aluminium façade designed to cut embodied carbon by up to 70%. All products will undergo on-site testing against international standards for resistance to air, water, wind load, and seismic activity. The 24 new roles will include specialists in façade testing, structural modeling, automation, robotics, and digital twins.
Staticus cited growing demand for large-scale, high-safety façades used in hospitals, data centers, and critical infrastructure as a driver for the expansion. The company stated it aims to reinforce its capacity to deliver technically complex projects for international markets.

GALLERY: One of Europes Largest Aquariums Set to Open in Czechia in 2028 A new public aquarium costing around CZK 700 million is planned for the Brno Exhibition Centre, with construction expected to begin in 2027 and the first visitors arriving in the second half of 2028. The project, called Green Planet: National Aquarium, will occupy Pavilion C at the Brno Exhibition Centre. It is expected to contain around 100 aquariums and water tanks holding more than four million liters of water.
