Об этом со ссылкой на документ рассказали Русская служба «Би-би-си» и Paper Kartuli.Тбилиси попросили «воздержаться от экстрадиции, депортации, высылки или иного возвращения» Тимофеева в РФ на время, пока Комитет рассматривает его обращение.Исполнение этого предписания обязательно для властей Грузии, так как страна присоединилась к протоколу к Международному пакту о гражданских и политических правах, отметил в разговоре с «Би-би-си» адвокат Тимофеева Роман Кисляк.Дело Тимофеева. Бывшего помощника Фургала задержали в Грузии в январе на основании красного циркуляра Интерпола, выпущенного в апреле 2024 года по запросу России. При этом циркуляр был аннулирован самим Интерполом еще в сентябре прошлого года.В России Тимофеева обвиняют в соучастии в убийстве бизнесмена Евгения Зори в 2004 году. В том числе за это преступление был осужден и сам Фургал.В Грузию Тимофеев приехал в марте 2024 года. Он запросил убежище, но местные власти не нашли в его преследовании политических мотивов и отказали. В сентябре Тбилисский городской суд одобрил экстрадицию бывшего помощника Фургала в Россию.Позиция правозащитников. «Мемориал» признает дело, по которому преследуют Тимофеева, политически мотивированным. Спецдокладчик ООН по ситуации с правами человека в РФ Мариана Кацарова направляла письмо грузинским властям, указывая на недопустимость его преследования. Она подчеркивала, что Кремль использует практику применения статей об «организованной преступности» для подавления оппозиции.Состояние здоровья Тимофеева. Как отмечает Tbilisi Life, Тимофеев является инвалидом III группы — у него диагностированы сердечная недостаточность и гепатит C. Состояние его здоровья ухудшилось в ходе предыдущего заключения в РФ, где он подвергся истязаниям.
