Barcelona secured a 4-2 La Liga victory over Levante in Valencia on Sunday, maintaining their perfect start to the season with five wins from five matches. Lamine Yamal scored twice, including a penalty, while Xavi Espart and Karim Adeyemi added further goals for the visitors.
Espart opened the scoring in the fifth minute, finishing a slick team move for his first senior goal. Yamal doubled the lead in the 19th minute after Raphinha’s through ball, then converted a penalty 42 seconds into the second half to extend Barcelona’s advantage to 3-0. Levante rallied late, with Ivan Romero and Roger Brugue reducing the deficit to 3-2 in the 79th and 88th minutes, but Adeyemi’s stoppage-time strike sealed the win.
Barcelona now sit alone atop the La Liga table with 15 points, three clear of Real Madrid. Hansi Flick’s side has scored 26 goals in six official matches this season, conceding just five. Levante, previously unbeaten since the opening round, drop to 13th place with five points.
