Belgian players rank among top summer transfers as Rangers reject loan bid for Raskin

Belgian footballers are featuring prominently in this summer’s most expensive transfers, with multiple players ranked among the top 100 deals for the first time, according to Belgian media reports .
Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin remains at the center of transfer speculation after the Scottish club rejected a loan bid from Beşiktaş for the 25-year-old Belgium international. Raskin, who has missed Rangers’ past two matches amid the uncertainty, has drawn interest following his World Cup performances. Manager Derek McInnes stated that Raskin has remained professional during the speculation. “Until an offer comes in that the club need to consider, Nico just has to knuckle down and train,” McInnes said .
Meanwhile, Rangers have agreed to loan Norway international Thelo Aasgaard to Anderlecht, with the 24-year-old set to undergo a medical in Brussels. The deal, which includes an option for a permanent transfer, follows Aasgaard’s move from Luton to Rangers in 2025. His contract with the Glasgow club runs until 2029 .
