Poland’s South Poland Terminal in Zabrze officially opened on Sept. 24, 2026, strengthening intermodal logistics in the country’s south with a 14-track, 750-meter rail hub and direct access to line 141.
The facility, developed by CLIP Terminals under CLIP Group, includes its own Zabrze Clip Terminal station, enabling full train operations and reducing costs for rail-road transshipment. It is located near the A4 and A1 highways. CLIP Group President Agnieszka Hipś said the terminal will serve as a major intermodal hub for Silesia, handling containers, trailers, and swap bodies, with an adjacent area for new vehicle logistics.
The project was funded through the EU’s KPO program and Poland’s PFR development bank. CLIP targets 250,000–300,000 TEU annually, with Hipś estimating full capacity may take three to four years, though Silesia’s industrial and consumer demand could accelerate the timeline. Operational launch is expected within weeks .
