Doja Cat discloses past cocaine and alcohol struggles in TikTok videos

Doja Cat revealed in a series of TikTok videos on Sept. 1, 2026, that she had struggled with cocaine and alcohol, stating the cocaine use occurred roughly eight years ago and was now behind her. The 30-year-old singer told her nearly 30 million followers that she had feared addressing the topic but decided to speak out because she was taught to do something daily that scared her. She also discussed past accusations that she was “demonic,” attributing such imagery to combinations of alcohol, drugs, untreated mental illness, and online activity .
In a second video, Doja Cat described using the internet to validate negative thoughts, which intensified when she drank alcohol. She also addressed claims that she hated being a Black woman, saying she began hating herself around age eight after moving to a predominantly white neighborhood. In March, she had disclosed a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder, explaining she had long masked her true feelings and that the condition had eventually caught up with her .
Meanwhile, former Paralympic athlete Patrizia Saccà missed a Ryanair flight from Turin-Caselle Airport to Crotone on Sept. 1 after a dispute over the battery specifications of her electric mobility scooter. Saccà, a bronze medalist at the 1992 Barcelona Paralympics, arrived at 8:20 a.m. for a 9:50 a.m. departure and presented documentation stating her device’s battery had a 300 Wh capacity, within International Air Transport Association limits. Check-in staff contested the information, and despite her attempts to clarify, the flight closed at 9:20 a.m. She remained at the airport until evening before securing an alternative flight to Lamezia Terme with the help of a ticketing employee .
In Romania, a shepherd in Viișoara, Vaslui County, discovered a crashed drone in a field on Sept. 1. Marcel Bogos told journalists he noticed a white car with two unknown individuals inspecting the area before he found the drone, which had lit-up components. Unaware of its nature, he removed wires to deactivate it. Authorities later detonated the drone, which bore numbers and letters on its wings, under controlled conditions. The Iași Court of Appeal Prosecutor’s Office is investigating its origin and how it reached the site .
Tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas, 28, commented on Nick Kyrgios’ recent suspension after testing positive for cocaine at the ATP 250 in Mallorca in June.
