Macrons daughter shares photos of 22-year-old boyfriend on Amsterdam trip

Tiphaine Auzière, the 42-year-old French lawyer and daughter of Brigitte Macron, has publicly shared photos of her relationship with 22-year-old Antoine Lecomte on Instagram. The couple was seen during a romantic trip to Amsterdam, with images and videos showing them exploring the city and visiting exhibitions. Lecomte, described as a dedicated kitesurfing instructor and business student, met Auzière in the French coastal resort of Le Touquet, where he works.
A friend of Auzière told French magazine Gala that there was an “immediate connection” between the two, adding that they share a love for Le Touquet, adventure, travel, and entrepreneurship. The friend also noted that Auzière resembles her mother, Brigitte Macron, in her approach to relationships: “Like Brigitte, she listens only to her heart and doesn’t care what others think” .
Brigitte Macron, France’s first lady, has reportedly given her blessing to the relationship. A friend told Gala that Macron reacted as any mother would: “All that matters to her is her daughter’s happiness, so she is very happy” . The 20-year age gap between Auzière and Lecomte has drawn comparisons to the Macrons’ own relationship. Emmanuel Macron, now France’s president, was 15 when he met Brigitte, then a 39-year-old teacher at his school in Amiens. The two began a relationship in the 1990s, married in 2007, and have often been the subject of public fascination due to their age difference.
Auzière has previously spoken about following her mother’s advice to “be an independent woman,” as she told The Telegraph . The British newspaper The Telegraph noted that Auzière is “following in her mother’s footsteps with a man less than half her age,” while Madame Figaro, a supplement of Le Figaro, commented that the age gap would “likely cause quite a stir” but that the couple “doesn’t seem to mind” .
Lecomte, who posted on Instagram with the caption “48 hours in ‘Dam with Madam,” has been described by friends as an adventurer unafraid of challenges. The relationship follows Brigitte Macron’s own unconventional love story, which began when she was still married to banker André-Louis Auzière, Tiphaine’s father. The couple separated in 1994 and divorced 12 years later.
