Polish industrial firms report mixed first-half results: profits rebound, investments rise despite revenue drops

Polish industrial firms reported mixed financial results and investment activity in the first half of 2026, with some companies reversing losses while others expanded operations despite revenue declines.
Polenergia saw revenues fall to 1.75 billion zł from 2.32 billion zł in the same period last year, yet net profit reached 43.2 million zł, reversing a near-40 million zł loss in the first half of 2025. CEO Adam Purwin noted the period combined solid financial performance with investments exceeding current assets, including offshore wind farms Bałtyk 2 and 3, set to deliver first power in 2027, and a 35 MW solar farm in Rajkowy. The company’s 13 wind and 7 solar farms generated 634 GWh, contributing 272 million zł in sales revenue, with 83% of next year’s production already contracted .
Mostostal Warszawa turned a 12.4 million zł operating loss into a 36.1 million zł profit, despite revenues dropping to 551.6 million zł from 681.9 million zł. Net profit rose to 15.9 million zł, though operating cash flow deepened to minus 234.8 million zł. The group secured a 147.7 million zł contract in August for a rail service center in Gdańsk .
Wielton, a major trailer manufacturer, increased revenues by 19.4% to 1.18 billion zł, narrowing its net loss to 43.6 million zł from 107.6 million zł a year earlier. Second-quarter results showed a sharper turnaround, with revenues up 22% year-on-year and net loss nearly balanced .
Anwim’s revenues surged 26.1% to 7.76 billion zł, with net profit jumping to 90.5 million zł from 10.7 million zł. The company expanded its Moya charging network to 10,000 points, exceeding a 2030 target ahead of schedule .
