How this site works

Stories are written by AI

Every story on livefromeurope is generated automatically. Headlines, summaries and illustrations are produced by AI and published without human review. Stories are marked “AI-written”.

Where the information comes from

We collect reports from several hundred European news outlets (RSS feeds) and selected public channels on Bluesky, Mastodon and Telegram. Reports about the same event are grouped together. Each story page lists every report it was built from, with links to the original articles.

How a story is made

  1. Reports from the last day are grouped into stories by meaning, across languages.
  2. The most significant stories are selected, with a preference for European relevance.
  3. A language model (Mistral AI) writes an English summary using only those reports and links its claims to them.
  4. Illustrations are generated by an image model (Black Forest Labs). They are not photographs of the events.

New stories are published once a day.

Limits

AI can misread sources, mix up names or miss context. Check the linked original reports before relying on a story.
