Jong Oranje, Poland, Germany and Belgium’s U21 teams secured or advanced toward qualification for the 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Albania and Serbia after decisive results in the final round of qualifiers on Oct. 6.

Jong Oranje booked a playoff spot by defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-0 in Doetinchem, finishing second in their group . Poland’s U21 side, despite a 2-6 loss to Italy, earned direct qualification as the best runner-up after Greece’s 1-0 win over Northern Ireland left Poland ahead on goal difference . Coach Jerzy Brzęczek called the two days “important for development,” noting the team’s nine wins in ten matches merited the berth .

Germany’s U21 team qualified outright as Group A winners, sealing their place with a 2-0 victory over Georgia in Bielefeld before 20,049 fans, their largest home crowd since 2006 . Belgium’s U21 side, the Diablotins, topped Group I with 17 points after a 0-0 draw in Denmark, ensuring direct qualification .

The tournament draw is scheduled for Nov. 26 in Belgrade, with the finals running June 17 to July 4. The top three teams will qualify for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles .
