Saudi Arabia’s military intercepted and destroyed two Houthi ballistic missiles targeting Khamis Mushait and multiple drones over Riyadh and the country’s eastern and southern regions on Saturday and Sunday, according to coalition spokesperson Turki al-Maliki .
The Saudi-led coalition also conducted airstrikes on Houthi positions around the Yemeni city of Taiz, aiming to break the group’s siege of the city .
Al-Maliki confirmed a Saudi Arabian National Guard AH-6i helicopter crashed in Najran due to a technical malfunction, killing both officers on board .
Earlier, Saudi authorities issued alerts in Riyadh, Abha, and Khamis Mushait amid the Houthi missile and drone attacks . The Houthis claimed to have shot down a Saudi drone over Hodeidah province .
