Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher reunite at Venice Film Festival for documentary on 2025 tour
Liam and Noel Gallagher reunited on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival on Saturday for the world premiere of *Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger*, a documentary chronicling their 2025 reunion tour and the first joint interview between the brothers in over 25 years.
The British rock icons arrived together on the Lido, posing for photographers before skipping the film’s press conference, a move directors Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern downplayed. “They were just here for photos, so they are here,” Lovelace told reporters . The documentary, written by Steven Knight, blends concert footage with behind-the-scenes moments, including tense rehearsals and the brothers’ first on-camera interview together since their 2009 split.
Their reconciliation followed a 16-year hiatus, during which the band disbanded after a backstage altercation in Paris. The 2025 tour, which launched in Cardiff to a crowd of over 60,000, marked their return to the stage, with original members Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and drummer Joey Waronker . Knight said the film explores why Oasis’ music resonates across generations, not the feud that once defined the brothers .
The documentary premieres in German cinemas on Sept. 9 .
