A man in his 30s died on Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision on the M4 motorway in County Meath, gardaí said.
The crash occurred on the westbound carriageway at Junction 9, near Enfield, at approximately 2:30 p.m. One of the drivers, the man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed to a local mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will take place. The coroner has been notified.
A woman in her 30s was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The road remains closed pending an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place. Gardaí have appealed for witnesses, including any road users who were traveling on the M4 near Junction 9 between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. and may have camera footage.
