YouTuber Marcant won the “Blauer Panther” media award in Munich on Tuesday as the “Beliebteste Social-Media-Persönlichkeit” for his political social media work, the jury and event organizers announced.

The creator, known for confronting AfD supporters and right-wing extremists in his videos, secured the audience-voted prize for what the jury called his “political Aufklärungsarbeit” and “kritische Einordnung.” In a speech, Marcant dedicated the award to his team, noting they could not attend “wegen der Bedrohungslage,” and thanked more than 1,000 people who told him they had left far-right structures after engaging with his content. “Ob ich jetzt wirklich die beliebteste Social-Media-Persönlichkeit bin, weiß ich nicht, wenn ich in meine Instagram-DMs schaue,” he said, adding, “Für gute und richtige Werte einzustehen, lohnt sich immer” .

The jury praised Marcant’s “kluge, hartnäckige Fragetechnik” and his ability to counter disinformation and anti-democratic content, citing his reach across social platforms. Actor Axel Milberg, speaking on the blue carpet before the gala, called Marcant “ungeheuer mutig” for exposing AfD supporters’ “Gewaltbereitschaft” and “brutalen Drohungen” in his confrontational street interviews .

The “Blauer Panther – TV & Streaming Award,” formerly the Bayerischer Fernsehpreis, was presented during the Medientage München, which this year marks its 40th anniversary. The state-funded prize is supported by broadcasters including Bayerischer Rundfunk, ZDF, RTL Deutschland, and streaming platforms such as Netflix and Prime Video .
