El Gobierno de Almeida privatizará por tres décadas el parking de Marqués de Urquijo, que facturará un millón al año El área de Movilidad sacará a concurso la explotación de una instalación municipal que cuenta con 426 plazas y genera gran rentabilidad junto a la calle PrincesaAlmeida privatizará por 25 años el nuevo parking municipal de Letras uniendo su gestión a la de otro obsoleto en Chueca Nueva concesión municipal que vence en un aparcamiento público del centro y otra privatización que prepara el Gobierno de Almeida en Madrid. Esta vez será en el parking situado en la calle Marqués de Urquijo, con una rentabilidad asegurada por encontrarse cerca de la calle Princesa, junto a una de las entradas a la capital, en un barrio con escasez de estacionamientos. La intención de volver a privatizar esta instalación municipal a través de un contrato de servicios, publicada este jueves en el Boletín Oficial del Ayuntamiento de Madrid, llega después de constatar la capacidad de facturación de este aparcamiento, que podrá facturar más de un millón de euros, según las cuentas municipales. El estudio de viabilidad del parking, al que ha tenido acceso Somos Madrid, indica que la nueva explotación deja en 426 el número de plazas de estacionamiento, diez menos que las actuales. La previsión que maneja el área de Movilidad es dedicar 91 plazas a residentes y el resto a rotación. Con las tarifas actuales y a la vista de la demanda, el primer año de concesión ya se llegaría a una facturación de casi un millón de euros, que aumentaría a 1,4 millones al final del periodo de explotación. Actualmente los gastos de personal son de poco más de 100.000 euros al año, lo que -sumado a los gastos de explotación- alcanza los 347.000 euros. El millón de euros previsto de facturación inicial al iniciarse la nueva explotación da buena medida de la rentabilidad de este aparcamiento. Gestión privada en lugar de cederlo a la EMT El Gobierno de Almeida ha decidido ceder a la explotación privada este aparcamiento público en lugar de entregarlo a la Empresa Municipal de Transportes (EMT) para su gestión, una práctica que sí se llevó a cabo durante el Gobierno de Manuela Carmena. Durante este periodo anterior se recuperaron para la empresa pública parkings como el de plaza de España, actualmente una importante fuente de ingresos para las cuentas de la EMT. El de Marqués de Urquijo no formará parte de este modelo, ya que el Ayuntamiento prefiere externalizar las obras necesarias para su actualización -que el estudio económico cifra en unos ocho millones de euros- a acometerlas con recursos públicos. La concesionaria deberá pagar además al Ayuntamiento un canon mínimo de 278.400 euros a lo largo de toda la explotación, la mitad de esa cantidad en el momento de llevarse el concurso. La privatización del parking de Marqués de Urquijo llega después de una larga lista de externalizaciones en la movilidad del centro de Madrid que han tenido lugar durante los dos mandatos de Almeida. La anterior unió la gestión de un aparcamiento de nueva construcción en Letras a otro obsoleto en Chueca para poder enajenarlos juntos y que las cuentas de la reforma del segundo sirvieran para justificar la explotación del primero, entregado a estrenar. Curiosities of Avranches !!! We passed by it so many times over the years and even stop on the N175 highway to have lunch several times but never really got into City center until now ! As I think did not give it credit enough to a town I will showcase new pictures of it in my blog for you and me, Do read my other post on the town in my blog, The town of Avranches is located in the Manche dépt 50 in the region of Normandie of my belle France, Therefore, let me tell you on curiosities of Avranches !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.The Church Saint-Saturnin is a Neo-Gothic style, and was consecrated on March 29, 1900. It has been closed to the public since April 2018 for safety reasons. The church houses a 14C limestone bas-relief divided into three sections, depicting the Massacre of the Innocents, the Flight into Egypt, and a kneeling king accompanied by two knights. The church also contains furnishings such as a marble baptismal font with a brass cover; a pulpit (late 19C); a confessional (18C); a stoup (17C) in carved granite; and the tombstone of Jean Provost de la Fardinière, former Lieutenant General of the Viscounty and Honorary Councilor of the Bailiwick of Avranches. It was lengthened between 1846 and 1852 and heightened after 1864. In 1877, a tall square tower topped with a spire was added to the north sideThe Donjon or Keep was built by the first Counts of Avranches in the 11C, measures 36 meters long by 26 meters wide. Its three levels house a great hall, a chamber, and possibly a chapel, making it the prototype of Anglo-Norman keeps built after the Battle of Hastings. According to some archaeologists, it may even have been one of the inspirations for the famous Tower of London. Other remnants of the towns fortifications include the Saint-Louis Tower, also known as the Arsenal Tower, located between the City/town hall and Rue Belle Andrine. At its base is the Avranches en histoire multimedia kiosk. Also of note are the Geôle Tower and the Promenade Tower, both built into the town wall along Place dEstouteville. The Audange Gate, now gone, stood on the site of the present-day Place Littré (its outline can be discerned thanks to a house that echoes the curve of the former tower). The Ponts Gate, also gone, whose towers were called La Tourelle and La Barbicane (its location has been marked at the intersection of Place dEstouteville with Rue de Geôle and Rue de Lille). Sections of the city wall remain, notably below Square Becket. The keep, a symbol of ducal power, was dismantled after Normandy returned to the French crown in 1204. In 1810, a square turret was built on the north side of the keep to house the Chappe telegraph on the Paris-Brest line. Previously, it had been located on the towers of Saint-André Cathedral, which were in danger of collapsing. This turret was demolished in 1877.
