Real Madrid secured its first EuroLeague victory of the season on Thursday, defeating Partizan 86-76 at home in Madrid. The hosts dominated from the opening tip, building a 27-19 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 53-37 by halftime. Partizan briefly cut the deficit to six points midway through the third quarter, but Real Madrid responded with a 11-3 run to restore control.
Theo Maledon led Real Madrid with 13 points, while Facundo Campazzo added 12. For Partizan, Carlik Jones was the top scorer with 19 points, five assists, and three rebounds, supported by Ethan Thompson’s 14 points and eight rebounds. Partizan’s struggles at the free-throw line (17-of-27) and from three-point range (3-of-20) contributed to the loss, while Real Madrid shot 9-of-27 from beyond the arc.
The win marked Real Madrid’s first triumph in four EuroLeague games this season, while Partizan suffered its first defeat after three consecutive victories. Real Madrid will next face Olimpia Milano on the road, and Partizan will host Panathinaikos in Belgrade.
