Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber mourn son Presley Gerber after years of addiction struggles
Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died, leaving his family in shock after years of struggles with addiction, a source close to the family told People on Monday.
The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Crawford, Rande Gerber and their daughter Kaia Gerber were “in a state of complete shock” and “inconsolable.” Kaia had admired Presley’s openness about his challenges, and the family took pride in his strength in helping others, the source added. Crawford and Rande Gerber were deeply involved in Presley’s life throughout his battles, providing “maximum support” and remaining by his side. “This was never a situation where the parents were absent,” the source said.
Presley’s journey included periods of progress, only to be followed by setbacks. The source noted that at times, “things were going very well” for him, including a stint working at the family’s restaurant in Malibu, which made the tragedy even more heartbreaking. “His family never stopped supporting him,” the source said .
