Motorcyclist killed, several injured in weekend traffic accidents across Europe
A series of accidents over the weekend has left several individuals injured and one dead. In Germany, a 23-year-old motorcyclist was severely injured after crashing into a fence on the L3002 near Tegau in the Saale-Orla district. The accident occurred on Sunday morning, and the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with a suspected thigh fracture.
In Denmark, a 19-year-old man involved in a serious traffic accident in Måbjerg north of Holstebro is out of danger. The accident happened on Sunday and resulted in the deaths of a man and a woman. The 19-year-old was flown to Aarhus University Hospital for treatment. Police have interviewed witnesses and obtained dashcam footage of the collision.
In Ireland, a man in his 50s died following a single-vehicle crash in Broadford, Co Clare. The accident occurred on the R466 at Gortnaglogh, and the driver was airlifted to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries. In Japan, an 11-year-old girl is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Shinshiro City, Aichi Prefecture. The driver, a 22-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of negligent driving causing injury.
In Slovakia, a serious accident involving two cars near Kežmarok completely blocked traffic on road II 536 between Kežmarok and Vrbov.
