Rima Hassan, a member of the European Parliament, filed a complaint with the Paris prosecutor’s office on Thursday after receiving death threats in a video posted on Instagram. The video, reported by Hassan, shows a man pointing a pump-action shotgun at the camera while issuing threats against her. The incident follows accusations that she overturned Israeli and European Union flags at a Parliament exhibition commemorating the Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel—allegations she denies.

The man in the video, identified by French media as Adrien J., is described as a firearms enthusiast and shooting practitioner. Hassan’s legal action comes as she remains at the center of a controversy over her alleged removal of the Israeli flag from the exhibition.

Euronews announced Hassan will address the controversy in an interview on its *Europe Today* program, scheduled for Friday at 8 a.m. CET. The interview follows the escalation of threats and the ongoing dispute over her actions at the Parliament exhibition.
