This is what one of the roads in the Donetsk region looks like: it is lined with a truly massive number of Ukrainian waiting drones. These FPV drones are pre-positioned near roads, tree lines, and other routes, left to lie in wait for a suitable target, such as enemy vehicles or personnel. Their primary mission is to sever Russian supply lines and keep them under constant threat. Such a drone does not need to remain airborne and deplete its battery. It can wait for hours or even days for the right target, at which point the operator activates it for a surprise attack. The sheer number of these waiting drones along a single road is striking. They were likely deployed to effectively shut down the route entirely.
