The Yandex facility in Vladimir Oblast was completely shut down after the attack, with Russian state news agency TASS citing the company as confirming the outage . Local authorities reported a fire at the site but no injuries. Social media footage showed the moment of impact, and Yandex acknowledged the strike caused a major cloud outage .
In Sochi, air defense systems were activated as Ukrainian UAVs approached the city, according to the IntelSlava Telegram channel . The strikes follow a pattern of Ukrainian drone operations against Russian infrastructure, including a third reported attack on a Yandex data center within a week .
The latest wave of Ukrainian drone activity also hit a railway drawbridge in Rostov-on-Don, halting traffic on a key north-south line, and an oil-loading terminal linked to the Novoshakhtinsk plant, sparking a large fire .
