Overnight into Tuesday, Ukrainian drones targeted warehouses in the Moscow and Leningrad regions, killing at least six and injuring nine, governors Andrei Vorobyov and Alexander Drozdenko reported on Telegram . Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer, confirmed fires at its facilities near St. Petersburg and in the Vladimir region, with no casualties reported at the latter . The company has been a repeated target in recent weeks.
In the Belgorod region, a drone hit a car overnight, killing one woman and wounding two others, local authorities said . Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused Ukraine of terrorism, according to TASS .
Ukraine has not commented on the beach strike or the warehouse attacks. Both sides deny deliberately targeting civilians in the war that began with Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022.
Meanwhile, Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities continued. In Sumy, guided bombs killed two children and an elderly woman, while four others sought medical aid, regional governor Oleh Hryhorov said on Telegram . In Mykolaiv, an overnight attack killed an 89-year-old woman and injured seven, including two children .
A Turkish cargo ship was also hit by a drone near Novorossiysk, injuring three crew members, Reuters reported . Finland briefly lifted aviation restrictions in the eastern Gulf of Finland after the attacks, its defense forces said on X .
