Deutsche Bahn has extended its Last-Minute ticket offer and the free Jugend-Bahncard for young travelers until December 2027.
The state-owned rail operator announced the Last-Minute tickets, introduced in May, will now run until the timetable change in mid-December 2027. The discounted fares, starting at €6.99, are available for weekend purchase for travel the following week, with Bahncard discounts applied. Originally set to expire in mid-December 2026, the promotion targets spontaneous travelers and new customer groups.
The free Jugend-Bahncard for children and teenagers aged 6 to 18 has also been prolonged under the same timeline. The decision reflects Deutsche Bahn’s push to attract flexible and younger passengers, according to the company’s statement .
