Jay-Z will headline the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on February 14.

The announcement came on Tuesday from Apple Music, the National Football League, and Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by Jay-Z. In a statement, the rapper said, “From *Reasonable Doubt* to the Super Bowl halftime stage, it’s been a long journey. Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This path still feels like a dream come true.”

Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has won 25 Grammy Awards and is known for hits including *Empire State of Mind* and *99 Problems*. His company, Roc Nation, has produced the Super Bowl halftime show since 2019, but this will be his first time performing as the main act. The 56-year-old artist grew up in Brooklyn and released his debut album, *Reasonable Doubt*, in 1996.

The NFL left open the possibility of a guest appearance by Beyoncé, Jay-Z’s wife, noting that discussions about potential special guests are underway. Beyoncé has performed at the Super Bowl twice before, headlining in 2013 and appearing as a guest in 2016. The couple, married since 2008, have collaborated on multiple tours, including *On the Run* in 2014 and 2018.

Last year’s halftime show featured Latin superstar Bad Bunny. The 2027 game will mark the first time Jay-Z takes center stage at the event, which draws over 100 million viewers annually.
