Ukrainian drones have struck several retail warehouses belonging to Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer, causing significant damage and casualties. Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities included strikes on Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. In Kherson, one person was killed and 20 others were injured. In Zaporizhzhia, two people were killed and seven others were injured. Russian forces used 19 guided aerial bombs and 678 drones in the region, along with 215 artillery strikes.
The conflict has also affected civilian infrastructure, with reports of fuel shortages and disruptions in supply chains. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Russia is holding global food security hostage by targeting Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea.
The attacks on Wildberries warehouses are part of Ukraine's broader strategy to disrupt Russian logistics and military supply chains. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated, "We are, quite justly, bringing the war back home - to Russia."
The ongoing conflict has led to significant disruptions in both countries, with civilians bearing the brunt of the violence. The situation on the front line is close to a stalemate, with both sides continuing to target each other's infrastructure and supply routes.
